Fruit packaging

Fruit tray forming machine selection

Select fruit tray forming equipment according to the blank design, cardboard thickness, finished tray dimensions and production capacity. The following specifications are needed to assess your packaging.

FROM BLANK TO BOX

Box dimensions and blank design

Two trays with the same length and width can have different folded corners, tabs and assembly requirements. Send both the finished-box dimensions and the flat blank drawing so that the forming process can be assessed.

The Xunding catalogue includes multifunctional folding models and three-piece fruit box equipment. These use different box structures. The correct choice depends on the actual drawing and material, rather than the name of the fruit alone.

PREPARE YOUR PACKAGING BRIEF

Information required for machine selection

01

Your box

Finished dimensions, blank drawing and a photo of the assembled box.

02

Your board

Cardboard type and thickness, and any printing or coating requirements.

03

Your production

Required boxes per hour, shift pattern and available space on the packing line.

04

Your destination

Installation country, site electrical supply and commissioning requirements.

01 / BOX DESIGN

Box drawing and dimensions

An assembled-box photo helps explain the finished packaging. A blank drawing shows the folds, tabs, corners and part arrangement that the machine must handle. Include length, width and height in millimetres, and identify whether the box is made from one blank or three pieces.

Where the design is not final, describe the proposed packaging and the decisions that are still open. Catalogue dimensions are a useful first comparison, but sample confirmation is required.

02 / CARDBOARD

Cardboard specifications

Share the cardboard type and thickness, plus any printing, coating or adhesive requirements. The published thickness ranges differ by model. A machine listed for up to 5 mm of board should not be treated as interchangeable with one listed for up to 7 mm.

If you pack several box sizes, list each design. This gives a clearer starting point for discussing mould changes and the scope of the requested configuration.

03 / PRODUCTION

Production capacity and line layout

Tell us the required boxes per hour and planned shifts, then describe how formed trays will be conveyed or stacked. Catalogue speeds are conditional and must be reviewed against the actual blank and materials.

A standalone forming machine and a configured production line have different layout requirements. Include available floor space and the position of the existing packing operation.

04 / INSTALLATION

Electrical supply and installation

For Australia, Canada and Chile, give the installation location and site electrical supply, including voltage, phase and frequency. The catalogue lists 380 V / 50 Hz; do not assume this automatically matches the installation.

Discuss commissioning, delivery and any applicable compliance requirements before ordering. Those terms are project-specific and are not established by a catalogue photo or a general machine description.
