Printed packaging goes through more than one operation. Folding carton printing machines put the artwork on the material; cutting, creasing and forming prepare and assemble the box. An enquiry should identify which operation you need.

Printing and forming are separate equipment questions

If you need a printing press, begin with the print process, sheet format, board and artwork requirements. If printed blanks are already supplied by a converter, your next question may instead be how to fold, glue and form those blanks into the required box.

The Xunding catalogue does not list a printing press. It describes box forming equipment and carton erecting and sealing machines. We can discuss the forming task from your prepared blank, but a machine photo or a printed sample should not be taken as evidence of a printing function.

What should arrive at the forming machine?

Explain the condition of the material being supplied. Is it already printed, cut and creased? Does it contain all the tabs, slots and panels needed for assembly? Show the flat blank as well as the finished packaging.

Depending on the box design and production process, printing and converting equipment may be arranged differently. Agree where Xunding equipment would sit in your process rather than assuming that one machine performs printing, cutting and box forming together.

Send the actual printed and coated material

Include the board specification and details of printing, coating or lamination in a forming enquiry. Mark the glue areas and the printed faces that need to remain visible on the finished box. The sample should represent the material you intend to use in production.

Check the finished sample for fold alignment, corner position and the appearance of printed panels. If a coated panel is part of a glue joint, raise that detail when discussing adhesive and sample checks. A plain sample cannot answer every question about a printed carton.

Which supplier should receive the enquiry?

For printing capacity, colour and artwork questions, approach a printing-equipment supplier or your packaging converter. For forming prepared fruit trays, mailer boxes or shoe boxes, send Xunding the blank, finished dimensions and required output.

Keep the specifications for these stages connected. The box design agreed with the converter is the design the forming equipment needs to handle. If the blank is still being developed, say so at the start; it is better to resolve the design before choosing a machine around an incomplete sample.

Catalogue models to discuss

These models are starting points for an enquiry. Confirm the configuration against your blank and sample.
