A glued box depends on the joint as much as the fold. When comparing a carton folding and gluing machine, mark the glue positions on the blank and explain how the finished box will be used.
Start with the glue pattern
Show which panels meet, how far they overlap and where adhesive needs to be applied. A side seam, a tray corner and a hinged-lid box can have different contact areas. Photos of the inside and outside of an assembled sample help make these details clear.
For an automatic carton folding gluing machine, specify whether gluing is part of the forming cycle and what happens to the box afterwards. Ask how the proposed configuration handles the required joints rather than assuming that all glued designs use the same process.
Board surface and adhesive belong in the same discussion
Include board type, thickness, printing and coating in your enquiry. The adhesive must be reviewed with the actual bonding surface and the finished-box requirement. Send production material for a sample check rather than an unprinted substitute if the surface will be different.
The Xunding catalogue describes hot-melt adhesive spraying for XD-Z13 and servo feeding with hot-melt gluing for XD-Z14. It does not make every adhesive, nozzle layout or board coating suitable by default. Confirm the proposed adhesive system with the supplier for your own blank.
Separate forming from later box closing
Someone asking for an automatic folding carton box gluing machine may want glued corners on an open tray, or may mean a carton that is folded flat after gluing. State whether you need an upright box ready for packing or a flat carton for later use.
Also identify which joints are created before filling and which closures happen afterwards. If a shipping carton needs tape after packing, that is a separate requirement. A carton folding gluing machine description alone does not define the complete packing line.
Agree the finished-box check
Inspect the formed sample for dimensions, corner alignment, fold position and joint condition. Agree how the bond will be assessed for the intended use. A short visual demonstration can show forming, but it does not by itself establish how a joint will perform with different materials or packing loads.
For a quotation, send the marked blank, finished sample, board specification and target output. List all planned box sizes and any changeovers that need to be demonstrated. This lets the machine discussion focus on the joints and box structures you will actually run.
Catalogue models to discuss
These models are starting points for an enquiry. Confirm the configuration against your blank and sample.
