CASE STUDY

Delivered in France after more than 50 days at sea

Customer arrival photograph in France: the closed wooden case at the factory.

After more than 50 days at sea, a French customer sent us these photographs of the shipment at their factory. The customer reported that it arrived in the same condition as before dispatch. Their arrival update brings our sea freight story through to the receiving site.

Arrival photographs from the customer’s factory

Both photographs were taken by the customer in France after delivery. One shows a closed wooden case on its timber base. The other gives a closer view of a timber-framed package, with protective wrapping and straps visible through the frame. Together, they show the packing as it reached the factory.

The customer’s feedback was that the shipment’s condition matched its condition before departure, despite the long sea journey. For this delivery, the protective packing had accompanied the equipment all the way from dispatch to the customer’s premises.

Protection for a long sea journey

Machinery shipping involves more than the days spent on the vessel. Equipment also passes through loading, port handling and the final journey to the factory. Wooden packing provides a protective enclosure during these stages, while the packing arrangement needs to suit the equipment and the way it will be handled.

Our dispatch photographs and this customer’s arrival photographs show different stages of that process. Before shipping an order, we review the packed dimensions, handling access and protection required for the machine and its accessories. Keeping the packing information with the shipment helps the receiving team identify the delivered cases.

Stay in touch from departure to delivery

While machinery is at sea, we provide regular progress updates at intervals agreed with the customer. Confirmed departure information, reported shipment progress and the latest estimated arrival help the customer prepare for clearance and delivery. We pass on confirmed changes from the forwarder or carrier as they become available.

The arrival update is part of that conversation too. Customers can share photographs of the delivered packing and contact our team about unpacking, accessories or the next steps for their equipment. To discuss your own machinery shipment, send Jason Chen the destination and receiving-site requirements alongside your machine enquiry.
