Carton folding machines

Automatic folding and gluing equipment for corrugated box blanks. XD-Z02 folds and glues inward-folding produce trays; XD-Z03 covers lid-and-base and stackable structures, where a confirmed mechanical fold can replace glue.

Figures are from the 2025 Xunding catalogue. Actual output depends on box design, cardboard and configuration. Confirm the current specification, electrical supply and box sample before ordering.

XD-Z02 or XD-Z03: what actually differs

Both models share the same published speed, board range, box dimensions and installed power. The difference is how the blank is closed and which structures the machine is set up for, so the choice follows the box rather than the output figure.

XD-Z02 applies hot-melt glue and folds inward-folding produce trays. XD-Z03 is set up for lid-and-base, stackable and glue-free structures, where a mechanical fold replaces the adhesive, and it runs on a smaller footprint at a lower machine weight.

Send one flat blank and one formed sample. If the closure is glued, the sample answers the question faster than the specification table.

This is not a folding carton gluer

Searches for carton folding machines mix two different industries. Thin folding carton board, usually printed and die-cut sheets of roughly 200 to 600 gsm, is folded and glued on a folder-gluer. Corrugated blanks from 1.5 to 5 mm are formed into trays and boxes on the equipment on this page.

Xunding builds the second type. If you need a folder-gluer for printed cartons, this range is not the answer, and a blank sample will show it quickly.

Match the box structure

Both models fold and glue corrugated blanks rather than thin folding carton board. XD-Z02 is the catalogue candidate for inward-folding produce trays closed with hot-melt glue. XD-Z03 covers lid-and-base and stackable structures, where a mechanical fold can replace glue on a confirmed blank.

Prepare your selection materials

Send the flat blank drawing, a formed sample, cardboard thickness between 1.5 and 5 mm, the boxes required per day and the number of shifts. State whether the closure is glued or mechanical, and list every box size that will need a changeover.

Prepare box photos and drawings

Check the configuration before ordering

Confirm on your own blank whether the closure requires glue and which mould applies. Catalogue speeds of 1,200–3,000 boxes per hour are a nameplate figure: agree the accepted boxes, glue joints and counting method for the sample trial before ordering.
